| Prodyn Standard Current Probes and I-Dot Sensors
The Kwik Latch® and spring clamp-on models are self-integrating sensors which are hinged and therefore clamp on to a conductor to be tested, without having to pass them through the sensor aperture. Other models, with fixed apertures, are used to measure current on wire where the best high frequency characteristics are desired.
PRODYN is one of the only companies that manufacture I-Dot type sensors. These differentiating type sensors, which measure the first time derivative of the total current through the aperture, have unique characteristics that enable the user to measure higher frequencies and have better current handling capability than self-integrating sensors. They are also available in the Kwik Latch® hinged design to allow for clamp-on requirements.
