Cases

The cases are available in four options for either desktop use and/or 19" rack mounting and all variants can accommodate up to 10 plug-in modules plus the point2point switch panel which supplies power to the modules. If the Test & Instrumentation System Controller is fitted, then the number of module slots is reduced to 8.

Both the rack mount and desktop (with ears) 19" chassis are able to house both the Intelligent FOL Sentinel/Sentry range as well as the point2point range of modules.

Converter Sleeves

Rack mount modules can also be housed in Converter Sleeves to enable "stand alone" operation, alternatively shielded modules will attach via a battery linking plug to a Shielded Battery Pack to enable "remote" operation.

Further accessories include the Cable Management Reels, Transport and Storage cases as well as PAG Intelligent chargers and standard or high capacity shielded battery packs.

Optically Controlled Battery Switch

The switch is compatible with all point2point products and all battery technologies. It provides remote control of modules via a multimode fibre. It has long distance transmission, and will work in excess of 1km and provides a fully isolated control signal with very high levels of shielding and immunity.

The use of optical battery switch has a number of inherent advantages: immunity to electrical interference, the load can be switched to greatly increase the battery operating endurance. It can be either manually or digitally controlled. It is non-conductive, thus providing an intrinsically safe transmission path.
